Sappro Diocese is divided into 6 districts. Sapporo district is the biggest that includes almost half of the faithfuls in Hokkaido. There are 23 parishes in Sapporo district.
Each district has a chief director called "Chiku-cho" who is responsible for the district. Of course the most Rev. Peter Toshio Jinushi is the Bishop of Sapporo Diocese and so he has total responsibility for every district as a diocesan chief. But Hokkaido is very wide. So in a sense, each district has its own way of evangelizing history and is influenced by the missionaries sent from abroad.
